“For decades, Texas has allowed abortion centers to specialize in late-term abortions targeting our African American and Hispanic communities. This signature curbs the genocide but there is still much to be done,” stated Fr. Victor Salomon, director of Hispanic Outreach for Priests for Life.
“Hispanics for Life applauds the decision by Texan legislators to limit abortions. We hope it is a step toward the day when all unborn human beings are protected and women are spared the exploitation by the abortion industry,” affirmed Astrid Bennett Gutierrez, President of Hispanics for Life.
Kristina Garza, director of Campus Outreach for Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, issued the following statement: “The 20-week abortion ban is common sense legislation. Not only have women, especially minority women, been preyed upon by unscrupulous abortionists who have operated with no oversight whatsoever, but their babies have been mercilessly tortured to death for far too long. Finally, Texas has taken the first step in protecting women and babies. I hope that Texas becomes the example for the rest of the nation and that we will all encourage our pro-life legislators to act with the same courage that Governor Perry and the Texas legislature has.”

“Por décadas Texas permitió abortorios especializados en abortos tardíos focalizados en las minorías hispanas y afro americanas. Esta firma pone un freno al genocidio pero aún queda mucho por hacer”, declaro el Padre Victor Salomón, director del ministerio a Hispanos de Sacerdotes Por La Vida.
“Hispanos Pro-Vida felicita a los legisladores del estado de Texas por dar un paso importante en la lucha por proteger al no-nacido. Esperemos que este sea solo el comienzo y que llegue el día cuando todo ser humano no-nacido esté protegido y a sus madres se les guarde de la explotación de la industria del aborto,” dijo Astrid Bennett Gutiérrez, Presidenta de Hispanos Pro-Vida.
Kristina Garza, coordinadora de proyectos universitarios de Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, compartió lo siguiente, “La legislación que prohibió el aborto después de las 20 semanas es una ley fundada en el sentido común. Las mujeres – especialmente aquellas que pertenecen a grupos minoritarios—no solo han sido explotadas por abortistas sin escrúpulos quienes operan sin ninguna vigilancia, sino que sus bebes también han sido torturados hasta la muerte sin piedad por demasiado tiempo. Finalmente, Texas ha tomado el primer paso para proteger a mujeres y bebes. Espero que Texas se convierta en un ejemplo para el resto de la nación y que todos animemos a nuestros legisladores que son pro-vida para actuar con el mismo valor que han demostrado el Gobernador Perry y los legisladores Texas.”
